Episode 7 - Evaline an Improvised Radio Play by Kate Herbert, recorded 15 April 2020

Evaline is my totally improvised radio play set in London in 1923. I play all characters alone, unrehearsed and unedited. After the first few episodes, I thought about who could be in the next ep and what might happen, but that was all the prep I did.

Oh, except for the research I did into London in 1923 and the Gentlemen's Clubs of London. In two eps, I found a song by Noel Coward that I could play in the Darling Buds Gentlemen's Club.

Often, the character and story went off in a direction I was not expecting. It's fun when characters have their own minds.

Just click to listen. (It's a video format without pictures!)

In Episode 7, Evvie, Binky & Chantel are still at a regular London Gentleman's Club in St James district where she confronts Banderson, the butler, and she sees Buffer who has a surprising declaration of love.
