In Episode 21, at Aunt Millicent's home, Evvie, Hills, Gad & Dandy try on frocks and tipple on brandy as they prepare to pursue Banderson, the murderous Butler.
Evaline is my totally improvised radio play set in London in 1923. I play all characters alone, unrehearsed and unedited. After the first few episodes, I thought about who could be in the next ep and what might happen, but that was all the prep I did.
Oh, except for the research I did into London in 1923 and the Gentlemen's Clubs of London. In two eps, I found a song by Noel Coward that I could play in the Darling Buds Gentlemen's Club.
Often, the character and story went off in a direction I was not expecting. It's fun when characters have their own minds.
